French Placement Test

If you are coming to us from outside the Québec educational system, you may be asked to write our French Placement Test.

If you are from the Québec educational system, your French Provincial Results will determine your level.

In order to graduate from cegep, all students must take fourteen (14) General Education courses.* Of these, two are French-as-a-Second-Language courses.

* The (14) compulsory General Education courses are:

• Four English courses: 101, 103, 102 and BNC or BND
• Three Humanities courses: 103, 102 and BNA or BNB
• Three Physical Education courses: 104, 103 and 105
• Two French-as-a-Second Language courses: 100 and BNA,101 and BNB, 102 and BNC, 103 and BND or 900 and BNE
• Two complementary courses (your choice)
