Do you need to take the SAT?

Students planning to go study in the States are generally required to complete SAT testing. The test is administered by the College Board. Canadian students are considered to be international students, and therefore, must follow the registration deadlines for international students. Students planning to take both the SAT and SAT Subject tests must do so on two separate testing days.

St. Lawrence is an authorized testing center. Students wishing to take the SAT in 2013-2014 can register for the December 7 or January 25  test dates. Although St. Lawrence is an authorized testing center, you must register online at  http://sat.collegeboard.org and pay your testing fees to the College Board. Study materials are available at your library. You may also use free online practice tools or order additional practice material. The registration booklets, as well as the preparation booklets, are available in the Counselling Office, room 254.

Our test center code is 97261 (if you don't find our name on the list, you may also search by code). If you have any questions about the registration process, you may contact the Guidance Counsellor.

Où et comment passer le SAT et le SAT SUBJECT?

Il y a plusieurs dates de passation (octobre à juin); toutefois, il y a un seul endroit où l’on peut passer le test à Québec : CEGEP Champlain-St. Lawrence

À cet endroit, vous pouvez vous inscrire pour le test du mois de décembre ou du mois de janvier. Pour l’année 2013-2014, vous pourrez passer le test aux dates suivantes :

Le 7 décembre 2013 (SAT et SAT SUBJECT) et le  25 janvier 2014 (SAT et SAT SUBJECT)

Vous pouvez consulter toutes les dates de passation pour les étudiants internationaux  ainsi que les dates limites d’inscription à l’adresse suivante : http://sat.collegeboard.org/register/sat-international-dates

Important : sachez que les étudiants internationaux (dont vous) doivent s’inscrire plus tôt. Regarder bien les dates limites. Après l’échéancier, vous aurez la possibilité de vous inscrire « stand-by » le jour même ; toutefois, vous n’aurez pas de place réservée.
